Key Terms

Meme

Short for “memecoin,” these are cryptocurrencies inspired by internet jokes and viral trends. On Pumper, we simply call them memes.

Swipe

The action you take on Pumper to buy or pass on a meme. Swipe right to buy, swipe left to skip.

Pump

A rapid increase in the price of a meme, often driven by hype or high trading volume.

Dump

The opposite of a pump, when the price of a meme drops sharply due to large-scale selling.

Market Cap

The total value of a meme, calculated by multiplying its price by the total supply of coins. Short for “market capitalization”.

  • Example: If a meme has 1 billion coins in supply and its price is $0.005, the market cap is $5 million.

Supply

The total number of coins available for a specific meme. This can impact its price and market cap.

Volatility

How quickly a meme’s price changes. High volatility means the price can rise or fall dramatically in a short time.

Bet

The amount of money you choose to trade on a single meme. Pumper lets you set a default bet size or customize it for individual trades.

Referral Rewards

Community Lingo

FOMO

Fear of Missing Out. The feeling of urgency to buy a meme when it’s gaining momentum or "pumping."

HODL

A playful misspelling of “hold,” meaning to keep a meme long-term instead of selling.

Whale

A trader with significant meme holdings, capable of influencing the price through large trades.

Rug Pull

When the creators of a meme suddenly sell off their holdings, causing its price to collapse. Pumper reduces this risk by curating memes for you.

Moon

When a meme’s price skyrockets to an extremely high value, often used in phrases like “to the moon!”

XP

XP are user experience points earned by completing tasks on Pumper, such as trading or referring friends. By earning XP, you will level up and gain perks.
